Don Quixote is quite fond of Sancho Panza. He wants Panza to be the one to fight crime with him, and to go on his errantries. He wants Sancho Panza to be there with him whenever, not only as a squire who obeys his every orders, but also as a friend. He knows that Sancho Panza may not always agree with his decisions and the battles he picks because he believes they are dangerous, or the sort, but he still wants to spend time with him. He still wants his input and wants to hear what he has to say. He respects his squire and does not want to treat him like any old bloke he met on the road he values him and respects what he has to say and who he is. He then thinks that he is intelligent and humble, just like a knight should be. Sancho Panza really admires Don Quixote and his quests. Yet I believe that in back of his mind, he wonders when a real one would come a long. This is because he knows that he is slightly delusional yet he does not want to disrespect him. He trusts him so much. That is why he has not regretted his decision to leave his family. He believes that he is meant to do the best service to Don. So he does, and he enjoys it. He respects Don, and knows that the respect is mutual. He may even want to someday be like Don Quixote.
